The invitation to be one of the 20 top supper clubs featured at The Taste of The Draft this week was nothing short of life changing. Green Bay is bursting with culinary talent, huge hearts and a love for our Supper Club way of life this week of the NFL Draft!
Being born in Superior, Wisconsin and learning all the home made, foody tricks in my grandmother’s Cable, Wisconsin restaurant, I am through and through a Wisconsin Girl! This was surreal! The Taste of The Draft hosted favorite celebrity chefs, NFL players, Packer alumni, Miss America, Miss Wisconsin, and just great folks! The event raised loads of dough for GenYouth, the foundation fighting childhood hunger. The funds raised will stay right here in Wisconsin, providing thousands of meals for food insecure children. GenYouth also gets students active and healthy in the realm of exercise! We were able to be a part of something that filled our cup in all the ways! The Dalles House Restaurant and Lounge was chosen based on recipe submission and interviews, we couldn’t be more proud! Our popovers with brandy old fashioned sweet butter were show stoppers, so many guests had a popover for the first time, including our new friend and Packer Alumni Nick Collins. We will be forever grateful for this week, the opportunities and the entire NFL DRAFT EXPERIENCE IN GREEN BAY!
A big thank you to Nate, Phil and Amy for representing The Dalles House with so much pride. The reason you don’t see many photos of Amy is because per usual she spent her time taking care of us and thousands of guests. Phil was the pillar of support and photography!
